Cargohaus inaugurates most modern warehouse in Clark

"If we have to start it and if we have to spearhead, we will do it", says Lina Group Chairman Bert Lina as he fulfills his commitment as one of the prime movers of world class developments in Clark Freeport Zone. The inauguration of Cargohaus’ newest and most modern warehouse in Clarkfield, Pampanga last July 19, 2013 is the fruit of its long term presence and commitment in the northern corridor.
‘Daring approaches’
Clark International Airport Corporation President & CEO Victor Jose Luciano and Clark Development Corporation President & CEO Atty. Art Tugade, respectively, praised the Lina Group for its daring and continuing investments in Clark in the past twenty years.
Rudy G. Fulo, Cargohaus President, who was with Lina when the agreement to improve Clark was made, recalled that the current warehouse site used to be a lahar-induced area after Mt. Pinatubo’s eruption in 1991.
Decades later, Clark gradually turns into one of the Philippines’ most promising international gateways both for passengers and cargo. Fulo adds that Cargohaus supports CDC’s vision of setting world class standards in airport and cargo gateway operations and that the new Cargohaus warehouse is a fitting symbol of this commitment.
‘Modern facilities’
The Cargohaus Clark Warehouse, with a span of 1,800 square meters that includes office space, provides easy access to customers with its proximity to the Clark International Airport (10 meters from the terminal and 150 meters from the ramp).

The warehouse is equipped with the latest X-Ray machine technology, capable to scan big volume packages up to the size of 1.4 meters by 1.7 meters. It is also boosts by a leveler and a scissors lift with an automatic weighing scale that can print actual shipment weight. The warehouse also provides room for cold storage, chiller, and covered with full security system.
Through the Lina Group initiative for environmental stewardship, the Cargohaus Clark Warehouse serves as a model warehouse in reducing carbon footprints in Clark. Powered by 264 solar panels, the facility can generate and produce 1.8 MW of solar power to support its own electric consumption. In addition to a full-LED lighting system, the warehouse has provisions for green spaces inside and outside, and uses natural light whenever possible.
